Yarmo is off
Ukraine winger Andriy Yarmolenko is set to leave West Ham when his contract runs out at the end of June.

The 32-year-old is one of West Ham's highest earners and manager David Moyes has made the decision to let him leave at the end of his deal.

Yarmo will score the winner at Brighton.

I thought it was a bit of a shame, with the club knowing he was leaving, that there was not even a mention of it at all. Obviously the day was all about Nobes, but they could have briefly mentioned that it was Yarmo's last game too.

However it was really nice to see him get a very warm round of applause when he walked round with his family and the Ukrainian flag at the end as well.

I noticed that Areola was at the back with him, so it makes me think he's off as well.

''Good luck to him, I was hoping he would be for another year as Bowens back up''

Jesus wept, thank fuck you ain't in charge, son. Thought it was a nice touch from Moyes to send him out at the death, hopefully he appreciated it.

Re: Yarmo is off
Why did the boards simply not buy him out of his contract?

---

Probably because it would have cost allot of money considering he was on 115kpw and we haven't exactly had a big enough squad to just pay players to leave!

I always dreamt that he would have lifted the Europa League trophy with Noble & Rice...but sadly it wasn't meant to be!

Perhaps somebody should have told him Kidderminster was twinned with Moscow?

I don't agree with him not giving 100%. This season, when on, he has run his nuts off.

Re: Yarmo is off
Buying someone out of their contract is basically saying you are so bad we’re going to pay you to not play for us.

Maybe they thought he’d offer something for his £100,000 a week? The Sevilla goal paid back some of that, but not a lot.

Re: Yarmo is off
We got him because his injuries had kept him from playing in Germany, he then got another bad injury here…..his head went down as he lost the few bits that made him standout in the process…..think of it like buying Lanzini now but watching the YouTube of him playing alongside Payet.

Re: Yarmo is off
Behave. He was a highly regarded player and there’s a thing called pride, which means you give 100% at all times and do your best to earn your money.

He rarely gave 100% and he ultimately wasn’t good enough, which is why he rarely played. He appeared to make no effort to improve in either area too.

He’s not going to turn down the money he was given, but at least pretend that you give a shit. When you sign anyone on that sort of money, it’s fair to expect something in return. He gave us pretty much nothing.

Yes!

It was a mistake, but it was not HIS mistake, so not up to him to "play the white man" which is what seems to be expected of him by some on here) and "correct" it.

The vitriol should be focused on whoever signed off the contract as it was they who wasted the(ir) money, not the player.

Re: Yarmo is off
A player that comes for a big fee, big wages, 4 year contract and then get injured in the first few games and is out for the rest of the season, followed by more injuries is always going to be a disappointment.
I don't see that he doesn't put a shift in though. Also he is skillful, just hasn't played enough.

Re: Yarmo is off
Jimm do you not think having him as the clubs highest earner was a mistake?
Those wages could have been used on a player who delivered more than 3 positive impacts over 4 years??

Manuel 11:49 Sat May 14
Re: Yarmo is off
Do you really not understand that if the wage budget is being wasted on wasters like the Ukrainian it means less will be spent elsewhere on players that might be worth it, you thick cunt. And who said it's only about wages, you seem to be the only who is obsessed with that. Only care what is happening on the pitch? Well, what a fucking hero you are, son. Very original.

You want a meet, tell me where and when, not a problem you sound like a right fucking muppet.

Re: Yarmo is off
Haahaha you are an edgy cunt Manuel, i bet you are a bundle of laughs poring over the accounts year after year worrying about wages, whilst real fans care what's going on, on the pitch.

I have been going up there for just under 40 years and have never once given a fuck about wages, but i am interested to hear more of your fascinating views face to face so let's have a chat at a game. It will be interesting to see what a mouthy forum cunt like yourself looks like in real life.

Gave us some cracking moments, and seemed like a top bloke. Just not really pacey enough for the Prem. Bowen is far above his level also.
